Shreyanka Patil is now a popular name in the Indian cricket circuit. The all rounder has grabbed eyeballs from the moment she played the WPL earlier this year. Her performance since then has gone uphill and there's no looking back for her. Recently she became the first Indian to play in the Women's Carribbean Premier League, as she was selected for Guyana Amazon Warriors. And yesterday, she lit up the WCPL stage by rattling the opposition batters with her sheer brilliance.

Scalping 4 wickets at the cost of 34 runs, she gave a tough time to the Barbados Royal batters. Out of the 4 wickets was the prized wicket of Barbados skipper and and one of the finest all rounders Hayley Matthews. The swashbuckling opener misjudged the length of a great delivery bowled by Shreyanka and was then beaten by the pace of the ball, which turned inwards with sharp pace eventually dislodging the bails. Apart from Matthews, she sent Williams, Alleyne and Nation back to the pavilion. Although her heroics didn't help Guyana win the match, it did slow down things for Barbados, who won the game in last over.

With the 4 wicket haul, Shreyanka was applauded by Carribbean cricket lovers. And it has helped her became a household name in the islands of the Carribbean. Shreyanka Patil, a player from Karnataka rose to fame after playing in the limited opportunities she got for Royal Challengers Bangalore in the inaugural edition of Women's Premier League. Her performances yielded her a well deserved place in Emerging Asia cup. Her heroics in the tournament helped India win the matches with big margins, and she ended up being awarded Player of the series for being the highest wicket taker, scalping 9 wickets in just 2 matches. And continuing her purple patch of form she has now gone on to become the first player to get a 4-wicket haul in WCPL. We congratulate the star and wish to see her perform even better in days to come.
