Sunrisers Hyderabad are absolutely unleashing themselves in every single match. With totals like 287, 277 and 266 they have crossed the 250 run barrier om three occasions in this IPL. They are launching a scathing attack on bowlers of all the opponents and their onslaught is taking the world by storm. The likes of Travis Head, Henrich Klassen and Aiden Markram are carrying the burden of SRH. And amidst all the overseas stars outplaying the opponents, stands a young Indian player named Abhishek Sharma.

Its a pleasing sight to watch the young Indian playing top notch cricket. With a quickfire knock of 46 off just 12 deliveries, he provided the perfect launchpad for SRH to utilitise and score big. And similar has been the case for him in most of the matches this IPL. His clean hitting has provided his team the ideal start they need. His hitting prowess is evident from the fact that out of 288 runs he has scored this IPL, 240 have come from just boundaries. Also he has hit the maximum number of sixes amongst all the Indian batters playing this league. And it's great to see the teenage prodigy get the respect he always deserved.

Not many know that Abhishek Sharma was quite popular in Punjab cricket circuit since his childhood. And him and Shubhman Gill were ruling all the tournaments they played. And out of the two, it was Abhishek Sharma who was looked up to as the future star of Indian cricket. Its quite a surprise to know that he was considered to better than Shubhman Gill. It was because the two usually scored same amount of runs, but Abhishek was a step ahead as he also took lot of wickets with his spin. On one of the occasions, he scored a hundred in the match while batting first, and went on to take 8 wickets alone while bowling.

The duo were considered to be the future superstars. And gladly so, Shubhman Gill has already established his prowess as a batter at the international level, and now his counterpart Abhishek Sharma is making his way by his sublime hitting and purple patch of form. It is certainly not an overnight thing for him, as he had to grind hard to reach to this level. He had to change his game and had to adapt the situations in a better way. In his debut IPL season, he showed glimpses of his hard hitting when he scored 46 off 19 deliveries while playing for Delhi Daredevils. But that was a one odd thing, and now its become a habit to see him score quick.

He changed his game by the start of this decade, and it yielded him results. in 2021. he scored the fastest century by an Indian when he reached to the three figures in just 42 deliveries. And he continued to do so for Sunrisers Hyderabad after he was picked by the franchise in 2022 IPL. He took the responsibility of the team as a top order batter, and he delivered consistently. Although his strike rate was not like it is today, he made sure he is adding significant value to the squad. Which is why they trusted him, when they released the proven international stars like David Warner and Kane Williamson. And living up to the trust his franchise showed in him, he delivered the best what he could.

With all possibilities, he looks all set to elevate to the next level donning that blue jersey and making the nation proud with his bat. And the team shouldn't wait for a long time for him to go ahead with him. The selectors should use his purple vein of form, as it might be a blessing for the team. The way he is batting is phenomenal and the Indian team requires someone to do the same while opening along with Rohit Sharma. What makes his case even strong is the fact that he is mentored by Yuvraj Singh, who is a proven match winner for India in the world cups. Yuvraj has played a significant role in shaping the youngster, and one would hope the teenage prodigy soon reaches to the level he truly deserves. We wish him good luck for the future endeavours.
