The series against West Indies was a disaster for Indian team. It was a necessary eye opener for a team which claims to be one of the best sides playing the game of cricket. And the fate of the series would severely go on to affect the interest of fans in India. Therefore India needed to bounce back, for regaining the confidence as well as faith from the fans. And fortunately, the Indian tour of Ireland has done the job of doing the same. With the second victory of the series, India has sealed the series and has helped the fans rejoice little.

Winning the first match was important for the team. But the team had won it by barest of margins, thanks to rain affected game. And hence a convincing victory was needed for the team, which eventually happened today. A victory by 33 runs achieved by India will help the team gain some much needed confidence. The first victory saw the return of Jasprit Bumrah in international circuit, and today the pioneers of Indian victory were Ruturaj Gaikwad, Samson, debutant Rinku Singh, Prasidh Krishna and Ravi Bishnoi.

Batting first ,India needed to set a good total in order to make sure they end up being on the winning side. After Jaiswal and Varma's departure, Ruturaj and Sanju Samson took the charge of the crease playing their natural game. Sanju played with an attacking mindset, and Ruturaj looked comfortable with using aggression with caution approach. Both playing in their natural elements helped them contribute well to team's cause. Samson was dismissed for 40, while Ruturaj went on to registered a half century. Ruturaj's dismissal slowed things for India, and finally it was Rinku Singh's quickfire knock of 38 runs off 21 deliveries, which helped India reach to a good total of 185 runs.

The Indian bowlers had decent runs to defend, however knowing the hard hitting ability of Irish batters, they needed to tighten their lines. And they exactly did the same, with Prasidh Krishna breathing fire today. His first spell of 2 overs saw couple of Irish wickets, giving away just 3 runs. Skipper Bumrah, was yet again effective with an amazing economy of just 3.75. The two hard hitters Tector and Campher fell to Bishnoi's brilliance. And Arshdeep scalped the prized wicket of Andy Balbarine, thereby ending the list of Irish recognized batters. With this wicket, he became the fastest Indian player to reach 50 T20I wickets. None of the Irish batters could stand strong except Balbarine. Andy stood like a rock in the crease, playing a good knock of 72 runs, but his knock was still unable to fetch victory for Ireland, who lost the game by 33 runs.

With the match victory, Men in Blue named the series after them. The debutant Rinku Singh was given man of the match for his quickfire knock of 38 runs which added crucial runs for India in the last 2 overs. His debut was something Indians waited for, and was welcomed by billion fans. Ruturaj on the other hand looked fluent, and going ahead one would love to see him bat in his elements. Prasidh's fiery spell will alleviate his confidence, and seeing Bumrah back to what he did back is a treat to Indian fans. Apart from just the positives, there are also few areas which need to be worked out, but fair enough to say that the positives have outnumbered the issues for the team. And one can hope to see the same in the last game as well.
