A match considered to be an easy win for Pakistan turned out to be quite the opposite, with the Men in Green ending up on the losing side. The USA team pulled off a phenomenal victory over the former finalists of the T20 world cup in a closely contested match. A matter of pride for the hosts, its a matter of shame for Pakistan who would be absolutely devastated by getting defeated from an associate nation. The closely contested match saw everything one would expect in a T20 encounter.

Winning the toss, Monak Patel asked Pakistan to bat. And their bowlers proved the decision right. The USA bowling line-up pierced the Pak batting order, and Pak team found themselves reeling back with 3 wickets down within the powerplay. A boundary off the last ball by Kumar to Amir saw the match going to the super over.

And with confidence skyrocketed, USA team entered the field. Starting with a boundary, US made their plans clear. And the pressure was felt by Pakistan which resulted in a few wides in super over by Amir. A good total of 18 was posted by USA, and in response the Pakistan batters struggled. A confident Saurabh Netravalkar, who had stunning economy in the match, was given the task to bowl. And he nailed his plans to perfection by hitting the right lines and lengths. And his heroics saw his team emerge victorious by 6 runs.

In the entire match, USA had an upper hand, and they proved it in the super over when it mattered the most. This encounter was a closely contested one, but honestly the Pakistan team was never really in the game. They failed brutally with the bat, they failed badly with their bowling and they did comedy of errors in the field. The team which boasts of the best bowling line-up with every bowler easily crossing the 150 kmph mark, was given a reality check by USA. It was not the Pakistan team which lost today, it was actually the false sense of their accomplishment which got defeated.

And on the other hand, it was USA's hardwork, great determination and immaculate execution which won the game for their nation. And now after their win against Pakistan, the team comfortably sits on the top of table in a group which consists of India and Pakistan. With 2 consecutive wins and both while chasing, the team looks to be in a great shape. They are ensuring that all the efforts their nation is putting for cricket are yielding good results.
