The batters were so busy in dealing with sixes that the 4 count was significantly lesser which tallied to 31. In the same match there were batters to hit a half century in 16, 18, 23 and 24 balls respectively. SRH registered the highest ever total in the history of IPL by scoring 277 runs in the first innings, thereby breaking the long-standing record of RCB of 263 runs. Although Mumbai Indians lost the match, none of the fans from the nation criticized the team in Blue and Gold. And there was no chance to say a word wrong for the Sunrisers. The two teams batted like they were playing a video game, toying the opposition bowlers. It began with the onslaught of SRH openers. Barring Agarwal , all their batters launched attack on MI lineup. Head, Abhishek Sharma, Markram , Klassen outplayed the MI bowlers to reach to an unthinkable score. What aided them was the utter stupidity of Hardik Pandya who never quite utilised the MI bowling options.

In contrary to the captaincy from Pandya, the WTC winner and World winning skipper Pat Cummins did great work to utilise the bowlers. And yet, the Mumbai Indians found a way to tackle those. Everyone in the Mumbai Indians, except for Hardik Pandya looked unstoppable. Rohit Sharma, Ishan Kishan, Naman Dhir, Tilak Varma, Tim David, Romario Shepherd tried their best. Seeing the youngsters like Varma, Kishan and Dhir's positive intent certainly was a pleasing sight for any cricket fan. The Mumbai Indians could've won the contest, if it was not that slower innings from Hardik Pandya at a strike rate of 120, when others were striking wit an sr of 200+.

The 15th and 19th over by Cummins and 3rd over by Bhuvaneshwar Kumar showed their class, and restricted MI to take the game away from SRH. Otherwise it looked like the target of 277 was also chase able the way MI batters were cruising. What stands out in the entire match was the bowling from spearheads of both the teams. Bumrah nailed Yorkers at the right time, and had an economy of 9, and Pat Cummins had an economy of 8.75 when the other bowlers from both the teams went above 12 rpo. If Bumrah wasn't present yesterday for MI, and if Bhuvaneshwar Kumar wasn't in the squad of Pune Warriors India in 2013 against RCB, then on both the occasions the opposition would've score 300 runs in the match.

A match completely of the batters went on to receive immense praises for the batsmen. However, one should not forget the bowlers like Bumrah and Cummins who showed their prowess even when conditions were not favouring them at all. This match will be remembered for a number of reasons, with being the highest scoring match as one of the many reasons. The most important thing it should be remembered for is the intent which Mumbai Indians showed. Any team would've crumbled under the pressure, and would've thought of giving up after seeing the target. But the joint most successful franchise decided to go for it fearlessly, showing great courage and the will for a victory. They fought the adversity and overcame fear with sheer dedication and bravery. And hence, this match will be remembered for a long time. Well played both the teams.
